Chemical Sunscreens

-Work mainly by absorbing and neutralizing the ultraviolet rays
-Absorbing sunscreens are more likely to irritate the skin and they produce heat while absorbing rays.
-The advantage is that they cant be seen on the skin
-The main ingredient used in chemical sunscreens is octylmethoxycinnamate also known as ethyl hexyl p-methoxycinnamate

Physical Sunscreens

-Physical sunscreens contain reflecting sunscreen ingredients and only two ingredients are approved
   -Zinc oxide and Titanium dioxide
-Physical sunscreens are in particle form and are earth pigments
-They work by phyiscally blocking light or reflecting light
-Block a larger portion of the light spectrum than other sunscreens
-Less irratating to the skin than other types of sunscreens
